A proud Yorkshire man from humble beginnings Keith graduated from Leeds faculty of engineering in 1976 with a B.Sc. degree in Production Engineering with Commendation.

As an apprentice trained Chartered Engineer in 1991 he became a company director and has been a senior manager in the various sectors throughout his career, with a real desire to work through change, creating great operational improvements and significant improvements in company profit.

Keith has an immense amount of experience in general engineering, machine tools, valve industry, glass and plastic moulding industry, hydraulic industry, FMCG, automotive, consumer packaging and the food industry.

In 2002 Keith served on the European board of directors for a division of the global packaging company, Van Leer. In 2004 he was a member of the UK and NI integration team of Huhtamaki – Van Leer. On two separate occasions Keith was selected by the boards of both Van Leer and then Huhtamaki to attend their prestigious international training programs held at various locations around Europe.

Whilst working for Van Leer he restructured one of their businesses which resulted in annual saving in excess of £500,000. This combined with other initiatives Keith had in place helped turn an organization making an annual loss of £1.9 million in to a profitable one with a profit of £250,000 in the following financial year.

With a continued focus on improving results with a practical approach Keith specializes in change management, continuous improvement of both people and processes, all types of waste reduction, efficient and effective health and safety procedures. To augment his skills and experience in health and safety Keith has recently gained the NEBOSH general certificate in occupational health and safety pass with distinction.

Improving businesses and people are a real driver and passion for Keith – so what does he do in his spare time he’s an active member of his local parish council being the council’s advisor on health and safety matters. He is also a member of the council’s finance and administration committee. He is a board member of the Selby eastern area community engagement forum and he also sits on the youth development, funding and community development sub groups.

Keith is a black belt first Dan in karate and is learning jujitsu and kyusho jitsu. He is a level one badminton coach and he plays squash, cycles and occasionally runs for charity along with this he has his wife Lynn, two children Sarah and Adam a family puppy Mack and three ducks, Pinky, Greeny and Bluey.
